What’s the Deal With Rocket Raccoon Wearing A Scarf In Endgame

Was Rocket’s scarf in Endgame intentional?

After watching the film a second time, it was still impossible to catch all the small details hidden inside “Avengers: Endgame.” Many fans have turned to breakdown videos to gain a deeper understanding of the film still making waves years after its debut.

The following small details might have been missed upon the first few watches: Howard, the Duck, appeared in the portal scene alongside some Ravagers. Hulk ate time-travelling ice cream while planning the time heist, and Harley Keener attended Tony Stark’s funeral.

Even the heroes’ wardrobes were filled to the brim with details, including an accessory attached to Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper). Rocket appears to be wearing a red scarf during the final battle and back on Asgard during the time heist, which he has never worn before in the MCU. Even though “Avengers: Endgame” directors Joe and Anthony Russo have never commented on the scarf, some fans believe Rocket had a particular reason for wearing it.

Rocket Raccoon

Rocket Raccoon’s scarf is a tribute to a Guardian of the Galaxy

An Avengers: Endgame fan put two and two together when examining Rocket Raccoon’s red scarf in the movie.

The fan noted in a massively popular Reddit thread that has well over 38,000 upvotes that Rocket is wearing the same scarf that Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) wore in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

In “Avengers: Infinity War,” all of Rocket’s friends-turned-family — including Groot, Quill, Gamora, Drax, and Mantis — were killed, including Nebula (Karen Gillan). Despite being uncertain about what the scarf represents, it has been assumed that it is a tribute to Quill, who perished due to Thanos’s (Josh Brolin) snap.

Despite the constant bickering between Rocket and Quill, there was an unspoken affection between the two of them.

This action proves that Rocket had more love than he would ever admit for his deceased friend.
