He is an illustrator based in Hong Kong who works as a splash artist for Riot Games. One of the artist’s projects, titled Baby Beastiary, gives mythical creatures and fantasy characters a unique twist. It turned out to be pretty cute when he illustrated them as babies.

The Baby Beastiary project was started while Rudy was working at Caravan Studio, according to a recent interview. According to the artist, the client came up with the idea to create a book of baby creatures for an RPG, and he helped them with the visuals. The bulk of Rudy’s contributions went to the first two volumes, as well as art direction.

The project taught Rudy a lot more than how to create the baby versions of creatures, such as how to observe all of their little gestures, proportions, and movements as they were being created. Working with Baby Bestiary also enhanced the artist’s ability to develop fantasy creatures, especially while creating them.
