Why Do You Never See a Baby Pigeon?

Visit whatever town or city, and you’re likely to see pigeons everywhere, they are the most universal of urban animals.

Did you ever notice anything weird? We see them old and stumbling, mature and wise, young and a little foolish, playing a game of proverbial chicken with the oncoming traffic. Yet we never see their baby pigeons, where are they?

Why do you never see baby pigeons?
Pigeons live in their nest for a long time. Long enough to the point they no longer look like youngsters. Baby Pigeons are almost the size of their mothers when they fledge. After 40 days and more secreted in the nest, young pigeons simply don’t look like babies.

Take a look at these baby pigeon pictures and maybe you’ll find out why they hideaway.
