First, look at Outer Banks Season 2 reveals John B. and Sarah running for their lives
Season 2 of Outer Banks has unveiled its first look images, which include The Pogues once more running for their lives. The action-mystery series was created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke and premiered on April 15, 2020.
Amidst little fanfare, the show quickly became a surprise hit. Its blend of sun-soaked romance, likeable and sympathetic characters and Goonies-esque adventure made it a hit with Netflix users throughout 2020. Thus, Netflix renewed Outer Banks for an additional season.
Outer Banks followed John B, played by Chase Stokes, as he tried to find $400 million in hidden gold and figure out how it linked to his father’s disappearance.
As the quest progressed, he enlisted several friends known as the Pogues to help him. Madison Bailey’s Kiara, Jonathan Davis’s Pope, and Rudy Pankow’s JJ were at the core of the gang, as they clashed with wealthy elite known as Kooks and forces determined to beat them to the gold by any means necessary.
However, the gold was ultimately snatched away from them amid painful betrayals at the end of Outer Banks season 1. Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), a star-crossed lover who survived a near-death experience, then reveals to John B she hopes to find the treasure in The Bahamas.
Netflix has released a selection of new images for Outer Banks season 2 via TVLine. As if running from and actively avoiding dangers wasn’t enough, the pattern continued in the second season. Sarah and John B were seen enjoying an extended break on the beach, but they also fled abruptly from something.
JJ and Kiara were also on the run, with JJ appearing to flourish amidst the chaos, whereas Kiara endured it in a more traditional, terrified manner.
Check out those images and several more below:
The image reaffirmed that The Pogues would remain separate, at least for the early episodes.
Even though the gold had left town, things looked dramatic in the Outer Banks despite John B and Sarah’s pursuit. It appeared Kiara, JJ, and Pope returned to school in addition to likely offering support and cover to their wayward friend.
That will likely complicate matters as Pope is no doubt eager to regain his lost academic opportunities. Additionally, he appears to have visited Me-Maw (Carol Sutton) as he continued to struggle with his ageing body.
Additionally, the villainous Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) and Rafe (Drew Starkey) were seen at a funeral.
In addition to Sheriff Peterkin, the memorial will probably honour those connected to the murder of Adele Porter. No doubt, the hypocrisy displayed in order to keep their secrets hidden will fuel fans’ animosity towards them in future episodes.
Outer Banks season 2 will provide many with some form of justice. As such, many will look forward to seeing how it turns out.
According to the show’s creators, “Season 2 will test our crew like never before.”
We’ve put more mystery and romance in Season 2 while increasing the stakes. Photos from the next chapter of our Pogues’ adventure show just how action-packed it is.
According to the photos above, it certainly seems to be the case. It makes fans even more anxious for the show to officially return to Outer Banks.
Season 2 of Outer Banks has yet to be officially announced, but Netflix expects to release it sometime in Summer 2021.
