A bee-based Instagram brand generates buzz in a bid to save itself.
@bee_nfluencer is making a buzz into the Instagram sphere by promoting a cause – saving the bees from extinction. Foundation de France is behind all this, and they hope that bee influencers’ huge Instagram presence will be an incentive for brand collaborations to promote their products.
The organization will then distribute the funds raised into its bee fund and use the funds to rebuild ecosystems, raise awareness, educate people, and convert farmers to pollinator-friendly practices.
The world’s first insect ‘influencer’ has taken to Instagram to spread the word about bee conservation. Foundation de France created a social media presence named @bee_nfluencer in June 2019. The idea was to raise funds for the insect to avoid extinction.
A total of 137,000 users follow B since its inception. Brands can take advantage of B’s huge Instagram presence to promote their products, the Fondation de France hopes.
Those proceeds will be funnelled into the organization’s bee fund and used for habitat restoration, public education, and helping convert farmers to pollinator-friendly practices.

Friends of the Earth estimates that 13 kinds of bee have disappeared in the UK since 1900.
Moreover, one out of ten species in Europe survives in an endangered state.

The Fondation de France has been supporting generosity for 50 years and guarantees its effectiveness. ‘It established the bee fund to fund important and urgent bee protection measures.’
