Is this dog a Dalmatian or Golden Retriever?
A TikTok video went viral recently (May 15th). Video of the ‘mom’ and the ‘dad’ revealing what they made together is one of those trends that have been popular for a while. The result of a normal-haired Dalmatian and a golden retriever was an adorable long-haired Dalmatian.
Andrew Lewis posted the video. Oakley and Nellie, two long-haired Dalmatians, are his precious puppies. Because Andrew is constantly asked if the dogs are golden retrievers, he decided to partake in the TikTok trend.
Currently, the video has surpassed 2 million likes and has over 8 million views, so it worked out. Despite Andrew’s dogs not being mixed with golden retrievers, the video is still cute, and Oakley and Nellie look like the perfect mix between the two breeds.

There was a lot of speculation that Andrew Lewis’ dog was a cross between a golden retriever and a Dalmatian, so he created TikTok video to play with the trend.
You’ll see Oakley in the video, a long-haired Dalmatian.
Andrew said “So first off, I have two long-haired Dalmatians that are full-bred (Oakley and Nellie). So that post was initially a joke. Every time I go out in public I mostly get asked if they are mixed with a golden retriever or something like that. But I’ve always wanted to get a Dalmatian and randomly stumbled upon a long-haired and I instantly knew right there.
Oakley was around 4 months old when Andrew found him online after a woman wanted to get rid of him.
Since Oakley loves to play with people and especially dogs, Andrew decided to give him a sister.
He named her Nellie
They became inseparable friends immediately.
