What Every Cast Member Of Friends Likes In Food
A delightful group of friends captivated our attention in Friends for ten seasons. From Rachel the bratty girl, we’ve seen her mature into a mature woman.
We have often snickered at Monica’s constant need to clean and mother the group. When it comes to performing at Central Perk, we’ve seen Phoebe develop as a lyricist (kind of). We’ve all experienced the highs and lows of Joey’s career as an actor. Ross’s epic relationship failures have left us shaking our heads, and Chandler’s self-deprecating humor has made talking about his feelings feel awkward.
The one thing all friend groups do in common is converse about food. Find out what the cast of Friends likes to eat in real life (and learn four fun Friends food facts!). Whether enjoying coffee and scones at the Central Perk or enjoying pizza at Joey’s house.
JENNIFER ANISTON LIKES CARBONARA
Jennifer Aniston portrayed Rachel Green on Friends, one of America’s sweethearts. She’s also one of the few cast members who continued acting after the show ended.
Aniston confessed she loves pasta when she is not on set. According to Bon Appétit, she makes carbonara often. Over noodles, I combine eggs, cheese, turkey bacon, and a little sautéed red onion and garlic. It’s so simple, it doesn’t even require butter or cream.
DAVID SCHWIMMER ENJOYS Pork Shank
Also making a name for himself as of late is David Schwimmer, who plays Ross Geller. Aside from American Crime Story, in which he played Robert Kardashian, he has also starred in Will and Grace, as Noah Broader. But back to food.
In addition to his love for food, Schwimmer told Mediaite he heads to Pasquale Jones in New York for their pork shank.
COURTENEY COX: GRILLED STEAK
It makes fans wonder what Courteney Cox eats when she’s not pretending to be a chef, just as Monica Geller was a chef in Friends.
A classic breakfast meal is her favorite thing to order at a diner, according to People Magazine. “I’ll have scrambled egg whites, turkey bacon, tomato slices, cottage cheese and a scooped-out onion bagel with cream cheese.” But what’s her favorite meal? She enjoys a good old-fashioned New York steak, with some vegetables and garlic fries for good measure.

MATTHEW PERRY LOVES GRILLED CHEESE
Although Chandler wasn’t always a wordsmith, he had some food perks since his wife was a chef! Perry enjoys eating comfort food like grilled cheese, which many of us love to eat.
Although he doesn’t make them often, he says he is able to make them perfectly straight when he cuts them in half. Since he’s not much of a cook, it’s one of the few things he enjoys making (and eating!)
LISA KUDROW FAVORITE – FRIED CHICKEN
MATT LEBLANC FAV FOOD – PASTA (HI, LASAGNA)
Another character with an affinity for food was Joey Tribbiani. One of Joey’s best qualities is his love for food and refusal to share it (so don’t eat off his plate!).
According to Bon Appétite, Matt LeBlanc loves Italian food. A big Sunday dinner with the family and homemade pasta sauce are his favorites. He even mentions that his grandmother used to make the most incredible lasagna, and how it was hard to replicate. Needless to say, he not only loves lasagna, but Thanksgiving-type food as well.

THE CAST ENDED MOST SHOWS WITH PIZZA
In order for Friends to be so entertaining and relatable, it was filmed in front of a live audience. After filming was complete, the cast would go backstage and have pizza for dinner.
An interview with Today quoted the show’s creator as saying everyone would talk about the show while eating pizza. Pizza nights after midnight brought the group closer together.
THE MYSTERIOUS TRIFLE
In the episode “The One Where Ross Got High,” Monica hosts Thanksgiving for her friends and family. Rachel makes a trifle for dessert. Rachel’s dessert was inedible because of a mixup, so it ended up being half shepherd’s pie.
There was some confusion when the writers were adding the trifle to the script as to what a trifle actually was. Trifles were debated about whether they are mainly desserts or meat dishes. They included the iconic moment in the script due to the funny confusion.
THE CAST ATE THE SAME EXACT LUNCH EVERY DAY
The cast of Friends had an endearing habit of eating the exact same lunch every day for ten years. As Courteney Cox reported, Jennifer and Lisa ate a Cobb salad every day. They threw their own little spin on the classic dish, but it was what they ate every day!
