Arabian Sand Boa – Perhaps the derpiest animal alive.
Are you familiar with Arabian sand boas, a harmless funny looking boa snake species that lives in the Arabian Peninsula and looks like it was drawn by a 6-year-old? I’ve never seen a reptile look so derpy!
Searching the Web has been compared to opening Pandora’s box by some. The point remains, however, that you can never tell what you’re going to find. It would make sense because the Internet has all kinds of weird things. ViralTrend24 hasn’t been surprised by something so hilariously random before. However, this Arabian Sand Boa is a sight to behold.
That doesn’t mean the animal is any less special. This oddity was created by the majesty of Mother Nature, and I’d say she has the greatest score for oddities. Despite this, we will add one little accessory to the Boa snake.
It’s a very diverse terrain on the peninsula, with everything from forests to mountains, but a huge part of it has a dry, sandy desert, which makes an ideal habitat for the sand snakes. This harmless species is native to the Arabian Peninsula.

In the family Boidae, Eryx jayakari is known as the Arabian sand boa or Jayakar’s sand boa. The species is well adapted to spending much of its time buried in the sand.
A common name for this species is Jayakar’s sand boa, named after Indian surgeon and naturalist Atmaram S. G. Jayakar (1844-1911).
