25 Amazing Animal Facts You Might Not Know

Facts About Weird Animals

The animal kingdom is full of amazing facts. It’s a world that never ceases to amaze us with all sorts of wonders and incredible feats. There are animals that can do seemingly impossible things such as travelling faster than a sport’s car or having the ability to kill someone with a mere brush of its hairs. On today’s list, I have searched high and low to find some of the most interesting animal facts out there. There are SO many, but I have narrowed them down to 25.

These are 25 Amazing Animal Facts You Might Not Know.

  1. I understand that peacock mantis shrimp can throw hands but I'm pretty certain if I box a 5 inch long shrimp I'm coming with the K.O.

  2. Refering back to No. 14. I was just wondering, has there been any ducumented evidence of seals having officially declared a preference to getting down and funky to Safety Dance by the 80s band Men Without Hats. Cos if they have, that would be kind of ironic. Because, well… Seriously for one moment, great little whistle stop tour that one needs to refresh every once in a while.

  3. The cat is a domestic species of small carnivorous mammal. It is the only domesticated species in the family Felidae and is often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish it from the wild members of the family. Wikipedia

  4. I don't disagree but curious on what cats enjoy in something sweet when they like a sweet thing like ice cream that's what most often though might not be best for cats but owners do it

  5. have you ever seen Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy? mice built the planet, witch is kind of weird, because after the mass extinction of life on the planet the only ones left on land were small furry creatures, kind of makes you wonder.

  6. My favourite "superhero" feat performed by a living thing is the Mudskipper being able to travel at 10 meters over roughly 1-2 seconds; albiet, only in short bursts.

But that's a person being able to instantly run 10m in under a second..
    that blows my mind.

  7. Hummingbirds are incredible animals. I was recently watching a study on oxygen deprivation where they subjected hummingbirds to conditions found at 38,000 ft, the domain of commercial aircraft, twice the altitute of Everest, where exposure to atmosphere at that low of density renders the toughest human instantly unconscious, yet the birds can still fly much less remain conscious.

  8. A) pretty sure a megladon would be bigger than a blue whale in pretty much any metric. B) my favourite fact about animals is that humans are animals, which is also the main definition of the word 'animal. So, next time I hear someone say 'animal' when using the sub definition (without stating so) for describing every species of animal par humans, I will comment again to call you morons.
